Red Eye Relay
July 25th - 26th, 2009 (Bloomington, IN)
For 2009, registration will be limited to the first 50 teams. This will ensure the best race experience for all teams. Make sure to get your team registered early in order to avoid being left out.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
More mileage for your buck! Due to a resurfacing project at the IU Outdoor Track this summer, the Red Eye Relay has been forced to move to a new location for 2009. The start and finish for the RER will be the Student Recreational Sports Center (SRSC) on the Indiana University Campus. Registration and the start/finish area will be on the patio of the SRSC. We are excited about this temporary move and look forward to seeing you on July 25th!
See the course map for details and legs on the 108 mile course.
For more information about the SRSC including maps and directions go to http://www.iurecsports.org/visit.
Red Eye Relay is an all-nighter. It's a ridiculous challenge that brings teams of runners a step away from the average run, a race that adds sleep deprivation to the already difficult task of running multiple races in one night. What goes together better than running yourself silly and staying up all night? Well, maybe peanut butter and jelly, but what the heck? The fun starts on a Saturday evening at Indiana University's Robert C. Haugh Track & Field Complex (for 2009 the start location will be SRSC on Indiana University's campus - see above). From there, goofballs get giddier as the course winds through some of the hilliest terrain that the midwest has to offer before a grand finale finish on Sunday morning back at the track.
