rer_turn1Event Schedule

CHECK-IN

Team Captains must check-in 1 hour before their team's scheduled start time.  Captain's must show their team's reflective vests (2), working flashlights (2), and wearable blinking lights (2).  When equipment is approved, captain's will receive their team packet (contents include race manual (2), team "baton" bracelet, team meeting agenda, racing numbers, and team roster (to be filled out).

TEAM BRIEFING

A meeting at the start line to prepare runners with last minute information will be required 30 minutes prior to each start wave (your team should attend only the meeting directly preceeding your team's start).  Your completed team roster will need to be turned in and your first runner should be prepared for the start, immediately following this briefing.  Teams assembling for their briefing should wait until the previous wave starts before entering the start area.

STARTING LINE

The start line will be open from 4pm-10:30pm on Saturday.  (The first team briefing will begin at 3:30).  Start times will be pre-selected by your team based on the following start options:  4:00, 4:30, 5:00, 5:30, 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30, 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, and 10:30.

EXCHANGES

rer_night2Exchanges will be monitored via HAM radio volunteer.  Portable toilets will be available at some exchange points. Each team entering an exchange zone will be noted on a clipboard.  If no volunteer is present to record this, teams will be responsible for signing themselves in before moving on to the next exchange area.

RACE FINISH

All teams must finish by 9:30am on Sunday to receive an official time.  Teams will be penalized 60 minutes for finishing before 6am or after 9:30am.  Teams will be disqualified for finishing before 5am.  T-shirts and medals (for those who ordered them) will be distributed to team captains at the finish line.  These and additional items will be available for purchase.

AWARDS

Awards will be presented to winning teams at the finish line as soon as they can be confirmed.  The Breakfast Club Award and the Team Brilliant Award will also be given as quickly as possible.

BREAKFAST

A light breakfast will be available for runners from 6:00 am until 10:00 am Sunday morning.  This is a great time to grab a bagel and cheer on other teams as they finish.
